Job Summary:

Analyse requirements, documents and formalise designs and work closely with a team of highly motivated individuals to develop applications in the following fields:

• Video delivery – Store and Forward, Streaming Live.
• Satellite applications – SCADA and custom media related applications.
• Embedded applications – Linux based
• R&D – Formal test tools, proof of concept systems.

Given the nature of the applications Livewire develop, the position may include liaising with customers, attending trade shows and some international travel.

 Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Required knowledge:

• Excellent Object Orient Analysis and Design Skills.
• Windows and Unix (MAC OSX/BSD or Linux)
• C/C++/Java
• A good understanding of IP and associated protocols.
• Good inter-personal skills.

Additional/Optional knowledge:

• Satellite Services – Inmarsat, VSAT, DVBRCS.
• MPEG Audio and Video standards.
• Microsoft DirectX and Directshow.
• Embedded Linux.
• MAC OSX
• Hardware knowledge or hardware design skills.
• TTCN or associated testing methods.
