After extensive trials with competing products, Sky News HD has chosen M-Link Newscaster for the performance of the H.264/AVC codec, the intuitive user interface and the optimised transmission of broadcast HD material. M-Link Newscaster can encode 1080i content at rates as low as 2Mbps and deliver the material over the public Internet, 3G services or Inmarsat BGAN.
