The Test Case Manager is Livewire Digital’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the development of TTCN test suites and the execution of the associated conformance tests.

The Test Case Manager offers a generic run time environment, a fully compliant TTCN 2 compiler with ASN.1 support, auto-generating encoders and decoders and sophisticated monitoring and analysis tools. The TCM is a proven system with support and expertise to match.

One of the recent TCM applications has been for the Inmarsat BGAN service. The TCM provides a complete TTCN development and compliance environment for the Inmarsat IAI2 adaptation layer, the 3GPP Non Access Stratum (NAS) layer and the ISDN sub-system.

The TCM offers a clean modular design that can be readily adapted to a wide range of applications. A generic highly optimised backend database is used to record system events, provide correlated displays of TTCN execution and signalling in either list or message flow chart modes.

It addresses the strategic need of carrier and equipment manufacturers for a flexible, cost-effective and extensible development and test environment. The TCM can be quickly customised for a specific application, for example 3G UMTS mobiles, satellite terminals or IP or wireless based equipment.
