Heart of Borneo Expedition

Store & Forward Video delivered via BGAN from the Heart of Borneo
The Heart of Borneo team are keeping their website updated with video footage compressed and transmitted via satellite using M-Link Newscaster. M-Link Newscaster has been described by Base Camp Technician; Dan Sargison as "drag and drop and easy to use" as well as "saving a fortune on data transmission costs due to the high quality of the video compression".

Videoconferencing from the Heart of Borneo to the Natural History Museum via the "M-Link Bridge" service.
The team are also setting up live videoconferencing sessions with the NHM to provide a truly interactive experience for the audience at the Attenborough Studio. The live sessions take advantage of custom software developed by Livewire which acts as a bridge between the live feed being delivered to the Exchange server at our offices and the proprietary video conferencing system at the Natural History Museum. The M-Link Bridge service is being offered to customers who do not have the infrastructure to receive live M-Link calls themselves or who want to bridge between an M-Link receiver and a standard video conferencing unit.
