SD WAN
A Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) is a form of Software Defined Networking (SDN) that provides interconnects between locations such as international bureaus, branch offices, data centres, or even mobile deployments as part of large geographic areas. SD-WAN makes use of the available networking technologies to provide a robust and optimised link between the locations.
A sophisticated SD-WAN solution incorporates WAN Optimisation and Hybrid WAN features that can reduce cost by being able to use existing assets fully and readily integrate future technology.
Livewire Digital has developed a unique and comprehensive approach to Wide Area Networks called RazorLink Smart Networking. RazorLink offers software defined WAN Optimisation across a wide variety of physical networks including cellular, satellite and international terrestrial links. RazorLink can combine services offering a true Hybrid WAN for additional bandwidth or failover, while providing security by encryption.
RazorLink is a software solution that can be installed on a Mac or PC, deployed like a router (physical or virtual) or embedded alongside system firmware. The counterpart can be run on dedicated hardware or virtualised on Private or Public Cloud services.
